Candidates from more than one constituency are prohibited from running for office; however, up to five nomination papers may name the same individual within a single constituency. The general election will occur on February 8, and candidates will be given their electoral symbols on January 13, according to the schedule. A fixed fee of Rs.100 is required to obtain the nomination papers.

Nomination Form Submission Fee

A candidate can submit up to five separate nomination papers with different endorsers. The National Assembly and Provincial Assembly seats require non-refundable fees of Rs30,000 and Rs20,000, respectively. The candidate must include their most recent three years’ tax returns with their nomination paperwork.

Nomination papers must be accompanied by attested copies of candidates’ and proposers’ or seconders’ CNICs, vote certificates issued by the relevant office of the district election commissioner, three years’ worth of income tax returns, and a passport. January 3 is the deadline for filing an appeal to the scrutiny process, and January 10 is the deadline for hearing those appeals. On December 11, the ECP will release an updated roster of applicants and extend the deadline for withdrawals by one day.
